Our community radio station is at serious risk.
The Commission of Audit last week recommended that funding for the Community Broadcasting Program be abolished.
If the Government adopts that recommendation in Tuesday’s budget community stations like ours right across the country will be put at real risk.
At EdgeFM we rely on our satellite feed and content made by volunteers at other community radio stations. We also use grants to fund studio and transmission equipment and even setting up this website.
We need your help to make sure the Bega Valley continues to have community radio.
Go to www.committocommunityradio.org.au and email the Treasurer Joe Hockey. The more emails the Treasurer gets from community radio supporters calling on him to ensure our funding is continued, the greater chance the cuts won’t be included in the Budget.
We’ve got less than five days to ensure the cuts aren’t in the budget, so please go to www.committocommunityradio.org,au and help protect our community stations now.
Thanks for your ongoing support.

For our station, it could mean less program’s and no funding for equipment replacement. With so few volunteers Edge FM relies on Community Broadcasting grants to keep us on the air.
We need your help to make sure this doesn’t happen.
