We are a community radio station run by volunteers, broadcasting around the Bega Valley.
We play a wide variety of music from Blues, Jazz and Rock, to Metal, Christian, World and Electronica, and lots of stuff in between. We air programs about the arts, technology and politics, local issues and stories, as well as shows from the Community Radio Network (CRN).
We are licensed to service the towns of Bega Valley from Beauty Point in the north, Tura Beach in the south and west to include the towns of Candelo and Wolumla and beyond.
Edge FM is a non-for -profit Community Radio Station and we rely solely on volunteers to provide programming and presenting. We depend on memberships and sponsors for the finance that allows us to broadcast.
Members of the community are welcome to join the Association.
The organisation consists of a committee of up to 9 people plus our financial members. We hold an Annual General Meeting in December each year and we currently hold bi-monthly committee meetings.
We operate the radio station 2BAR under the trading name ‘Edge-FM’. Edge FM broadcasts on 93.7MHZ – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is streaming live from our website (through Triton Digital), and on the Community Radio Plus app. from our studios at the historic Old Bega Hospital, Corkhill Place, Bega.
