To celebrate the Australia Day weekend, yesterday on 93.7 Edge FM we heard all Australian music on The Sport Free Zone with Don, and last night we listened to the Golden Guitar awards from Tamworth.
Today is Australia Day and in the Bega Valley the community came together in Littleton Gardens to celebrate. Catriona Rowntree was the ambassador, Mayor Bill Taylor the Master of Ceremonies, and locals Ryan Campbell, Anne Moore, Imogen Pittolo, Molly Campbell and Garry Lonesborough were all recognised and rewarded for their efforts in community citizenship. Bega Lions Club fed the hungry crowd with a delicious barbeque, and we welcomed our new Australian citizens.
There were many forms of entertainment and activities going on in Littleton Gardens today, but it’s always great to see young locals performing to an appreciative crowd (pictured are the very talented Jake Whyman and Britney Meers).
Don’t forget you can tune into 93.7 Edge FM anytime day or night to hear either local programs, programs from the Community Satellite Network or to just to listen to music on the radio.
